About Us
Willow Farm was started by David Edmund Nickols in 1935. He started out with 35 acres of land and a few farm buildings. In 1944-45 the farm size was doubled to 70 acres of land. Over the last 60 years the farm has grown to nearly a 1000 acres of land, all of which is in arable production.
Willow Farm Machinery began it's life in 2001 with the first cultivators and drills being brought into the country in 2002. The countrywide sales of farm machinery have been rising every year since then and now, with the ever broadening array of farming machines available, the choice of the correct 'tool' has greatly increased. We have now added a range of soil looseners from TWB (Terry Birch) and just recently a range of SMS equipment.
The advantage of being farmers as well as suppliers of machinery, is the fact that we have had the opportunity to test the machines ourselves om our own land. This varies from sandy loam to clay loam and is a great testing ground for various types of equipment in our different soil conditions. We are therefore able to see what works best in each type of soil, whether it is a plough-based system or a low cultivation system.
No matter how large or small your farming needs are we aim to use our experience and product knowledge to satisfy all your cultivation and drilling needs.
